I have given away HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS dollars away in free services
in the eons I have been doing this.  BUT, I have made THOUSANDS and
THOUSANDS of dollars because I believe in getting my name out there.

Amen to that!  I couldn't agree more.  I give to ANYONE that asks.  50% of 
the gift certificates are never used, but the other 50% usually bring a new 
client or two.
