Diana,

I get why they don't do it. Because they chose not to. It's like you said...

>"Don't you get it, you have to build your biz, get your name out there to
>EVERYONE. I don't care how you do it, just do it."

I'm one of those people who chose not to donate to these things. I chose not
to do it for the reasons you mentioned...because I have found the 'type' of
people
that have ended up in my chair because of the donations seem to be more trouble
than they are worth. It's also the same reason I chose not to take the high
school
kids at prom/graduation time. Inevitably I turn away my faithful paying
clients and
somehow always find that it would have been better for my business if I had not
taken
the other appointment to begin with.

I would say let go of caring what the other people are doing. They are doing
what
they feel is best for them. For whatever their reasons may be. That's what I
LOVE
about my business...it's MY business and I get to do what I chose is best for
me.

I like to joke and say that MY world would be much better if everybody did
things
the way I think they should do them. Thank God it's not really like
that...what if we
were on the flip side of that and had to live our lives the way other people
think we
should live it?

The cool thing about the beauty/nail business is we can all be in it together,
in our
own way.
