Hi Caralyn,
I have been doing dry waterless pedicures. I love them, they have saved my
back. I first heard of them through Janet McCormick, she helped me with a
basic outline of the steps....been doing nails for 20 years. After taking
Nancy Kings pedicure class, learning how to clean the chairs correctly and
seeing
what came out of the jets, I was disenchanted. I started my own one man
band 3 years ago, with the Belava one liner per person foot bath, not good for
my back, that is when I saw Janet talking about Waterless pedicures.......been
my savior!!!!

I use a facial bed and use a large bolster with a large bath towel over it.
Sometimes the clients uses a small pillow at the small of the back because
of the incline of the bed. Here are my steps.

Get the client comfortable
Spray sanitize the feet
Clip and shape toenails
Apply cuticle cream/remover
Push back cuticles
Foot file the entire foot
Place water soaked towels in the microwave and microwave for 4 minutes
While the towels are in the micro I sugar scrub the entire foot to mid calf
Remove towels, be sure you can touch them, wrap foot
I clean up at this time, let them wallow in the warmth of the towels
Remove the towel on one foot, massage to the knee
Remove the other towel and massage to the knee
Prep toes for polish then polish.....:)

This has saved my back, I am actually looking for a high recliner in leather
in the near future that sets the feet as high as the facial bed. Being on
that bed in a reclined position for an hour sometimes can be hard on the butt.
No complaints, just compliments.......they like the dry pedi, because
filing a dry foot allows you to smooth the dry/callused skin more effectively.

If you have any other questions, feel free to email privately. Like I said,
I have been utilizing this type of service for 2 years...and LOVE IT! Oh
and the clean up......clorox cleanups......wipe the chair down, let it air dry
and you are done!!!!!
Smiles!
