Hey Shannon,

I don't use the fiber strips at all, only if I have a bad bad break to
repair. I never use the primer pen either, I rarely ever have lifting with
starnails products.

  This is what I do:

  sanitize the hands

  push back cuticles

using a sciver bit or a small football diamond bit I get the leftover skin
from cuticle off the nail, and if there are any areas of lifting happening I
get it with this bit

brush off the dust with a clean nail brush, then I spray with alcohol, and
brush vigorously again cleaning all remaining dust off the nail

apply 1 or 2 coats of either Bond Ex 2 or YN's protein bond let dry

then apply my first coat of pink or clear either as an overlay or sculpt, (I
don't use tips) what ever you choose, make sure I cap the ends , get as
close as you can to cuticle without touching it you don't have to have a thick
layer just nice and smooth.

cure for 2 minutes in my 36 watt lamp

apply my white for french, swipe in my smile line with another brush
dampened with alcohol, i do 2 nails and flash cure for 10 seconds then when
all done with hand

  cure for 2 minutes

apply coat of clear or pink, fill in any gaps, checking apex, etc. make
sure nail is smooth from all angles do 1 or 2 nails and flash cure for 10
seconds finish hand

  cure for 2 minutes

wipe off dispersion layer with alcohol

file very lightly the sides and free edge, careful not to break the seal on
capped edge

if needed, buff entire nail with sanding band or handfile with a 240 grit
buffer file to smooth and shape nail and remove shine

apply very thin coat of clear or use a shiner top coat of your choice, I
just use the starnails clear and it is very shiny and smooth

  cure for 2 minutes

remove dispersion layer with alcohol and done

Most of the time, I don't need to do the 3rd layer so just finish on the 2nd
if the shape is fine.

Let me know your steps from start to finish. Maybe I can help or someone
else here can help you. Just breathe and try to relax, take your time
applying until you get the hang of it, don't try to rush and get it done fast,
it only cause more issues. Been there done that.

  Good luck

Hey Shannon A: I am using Starnails T3 as well. They told me NOT to
use bonding; only use primer pen. I don't use the fiber either.
Starnail also told me to alcohol the nails, not acetone. So now I am
really confused. I have a brand new 2-handed UV light, so it's not
the bulbs. Now what????????????? A client came back to me today with
four tips missing. Getting really nervouse and upset. I want to be
like Athena & Diana & Lynette and the other greats and I know I have
to keep practicing, BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME/MONEY without losing
clients!!!!!! HELP!!
Thank you for ANY advice!!!! Shannon M. Dawsonville, GA
