Shannon, OPI make both regular and soak off gel. Brisa makes only regular gel. I took the OPI Axxium class a month ago.....it is a regular gel class, but they demo'd the soak off gel. And I bought one of the soak off gel polish kits. I am a Brisa user and have been using it since 2003. It works great for me. The only drawback, IMO, is the light. It works fine, but the replacement bulbs are $50.!!! I don't want to risk service breakdown if I use a regular tunnel lamp! There are lots of gels available. See how you like working with the Axxium and remember.....it's not easy to learn and master! That learning curve is there not matter what brand you use. When I started out, I was in a situation like you....no mentors.....I also found this group and have been here ever since! Good luck and keep up the search for information!!
