my husband and I formed an LLC in Florida for like 150.00 online (for real estate not nails) ..but he did say it was alot more to do it in NY...but it can be done online by yourself.? I agree with Lynnette...you need to check your states rules....in Fl I did not need a separate license...

I had to pay for my biz name in PA, but just added the DBA for banking purposes. Did you try H&R Block? Or see if your local BPW has an accountant in their club. You do not have to do a LLC/INC as an owner or booth renter. That is your choice. I do not know your states' rules on biz licenses. You would have to find out how your state works that as an IC. I would hope that an accountant would quote you over the phone as to their fees, but a $400 consult????!!!!!!! No way! Also, I believe you can do the LLC yourself. I checked into it a few years back but forget the info. My son wants me to do it. (I will have him do all the work since he owes us for all the $$$$$ we spent on his education!!!!) How many of you reading this are LLC or INC? However I just became my own boss as a renter and here is my question...actually questions.? I am having a hard time finding an accountant that won't charge me a $100 consultation fee just to meet them!? The one I did consult with wanted me to form an LLC or a DBA, at the cost of $400.? ?????? As a renter is this truly necessary?? And he thinks I may need a business license seperate from the one the salon owner already has...again,more $$$$$.? ? I am a bit overwhelmed by this revelation.? I am still looking for someone I do?not feel is a crook to do my taxes. ? Insight? Pam don't forget car expenses and license plates and maybe insurance. In fact any insurance you pay.any gifts that you bought your clients. Advertising, Even if you made your own flyers on your own computer. Turn those numbers in. I personally turn every damn penny I have spent in the year, and let the accountant figure if it is deductible or not. diana from indiana At 10:51 PM 2/14/2009, you wrote: >Pam,I JUST finished mine about an hour ago.
