You need to use some kind of bonding or base gel. I have started using Akzentz, and they have a opti bond base that I have cured and then wiped the dipersion layer off and applied to coats of gel polish, curing inbetween and then applying a top gloss. No shrinking but I've used others that skrink up to nothing.
