Elaine,

Mostly chemicals  acetone, dehydrator and primer will make the tips split.
Also, maybe toomuch friction.

Tip Users (past and present),

I'm stumped on a technical support question.  Keep in mind I got this as an
email inquiry and am waiting for her phone number to get more information.  So
we're going off very little here.  I need all your reasons why an ABS (not
recycled plastic but virgin abs plastic) tip would crack down the center (from
very free edge to adhesion point.  I can take one of these tips and fold it in
half the long way without it cracking.  It just bends.

I am also well aware that improper sizing can cause this: nail too flat and
tip too curved or even vice versa.

But what else have you all ever seen, done or resolved?

And THANK YOU in advance.

:) Elaine
