Holly, I've only ever had a problem when I used black glitter but that's it. I prep the nails, cleanse and then Protein Bond them. I lay base (YN) and sprinkle the glitter on, tap the foot to remove the excess and cure. I use canned air to remove the rest of the excess after they cure and then apply Flex and cure again. Then I cleanse, buff and apply Finish. I never mix the gel with the glitter; I always sprinkle. :)
