Kimbery, 2 weeks ago I did a pedicure on a woman who had a cluster of 3 blisters close to the cuticle on her big toe. I asked her about it and she said that every once in a while she gets these blisters. So my next question is.... Do you get cold soars? She says ... yes in the worse way. So basically the chance of her transferring her herpes to her feet is pretty high. . Resulting in digital herpes. I have studied closely the 9 types of herpes a person can contract so I knew what I was looking for but the majority would not.
PPE-persoal protection equipment would be in need here. With out them you are not safe. Period. This was not the dr referred pedi that I specialize in. It was a salon client. I give a comprehensive foot evaluation. So when they check Hepatitis.....at least I know. What evaluation are you giving that would make them want to share such a personal medical condition? PPE"s are for your safety and It is a smart choice. On a more higher note....I did recognize intra- digital melanoma stage 2 on a client who works in a hospital. Moles or hyper pigmentaion on palms or the feet of causcasian is almost rare. Dark skin it is common. So when I saw a mole in between the toes that looked like a blurred freckle I insisted she get it checked right away. I know I scared her even. Cancer of the foot is one of the most deadly cancers because once you realize you have it....it is usually too late. Upside is it was caught in time. Need I say she is a client for life. :) Now.... Go buy some Nitril Gloves.. :) .I use Costo Kirkland brand a size smaller than my hand because it should be snug :) Hope all yall are well....I'm in Chi-town about to go into the show ....Peace Techies:) On 3/19/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hey Athena & Michele and... > Hey Sheryl !
