I also posted this, goes both ways!!!!!!!!!!

Boothrenters.

Just a note here. On the other hand boothrenters don't understand
salon owners.

I have seen boothrenters wanting sick leave, vacation leave,
maturnity leave, personal time. Give me a break, you are self
employed, you don't get benefits.!!! Unless your salon owner offers
this as an incentive, you do not get benefits.

I have seen them gripe about not having enough biz and expecting the
owner to build their biz. I have seen them gripe about cleaning.

The part time boothrenter is always an argument. the reason my owners
stopped offering it. Part time means you have x amount of days.

Boothrenters say part time is I only have xx amount of clients I
should be able to come and go as I please and have my station available 24/7.

Boothrenters expect their station to be available because they are
taking 8 weeks off for the new baby. No, you pay for the space while
you are gone.

I also know that a boothrenter went and tried to get unemployemt
becasue she left the salon. Doesn't work that way, an EMPLOYEE gets
unemployment not the self employed.

So it boils down that a Boothrental salon owner and a Booth Renter
needs to understand the laws to get that fine balance. To have a
succesful salon for all concerned. JMHO Diana Bonn (diana from indiana)
