Alice your too funny...lol
Definately stir well as Alice mentions since the pigment settles to the bottom
of the jar. Opti-bond is a bonder not a base coat so you can use that after
your surebond..scrub it on the nail as a bonder not a building layer, cure two
minutes and then use base n gloss if you want to level any imperfections of the
nail to get a smooth surface, cure two min. Then apply thin coats of color..if
you stir well you shouldnt need to apply 3 coats, yet thats my opinion..I've
never had to do that, cure your layers 2 min as well and then apply bng for
your top coat, cure 2 min.

(The tip Alice shared with you from Anna works great to reduce shrinking while
curing the color especially with the darker colors).

With any color gel be sure to stir the gel because the pigment settles..so stir
it and get all the additional color from he bottom of the jar.  As far  as
coverage, it depends upon the color some are lighter than others. I do 2-3
depending upon how I feel the color looks.  I've yet to do only 1 coat of color
gel.
What are you using as your base.. Base & Gloss or Opti Bond?  I know Anna has
had a lot of success doing 1 coat of Opti Bond, cure, 1 Coat of Base & Gloss,
Cure, wipe off sticky layer with Prep, acetone or alcohol, and apply your color.
Wiping off the sticky layer prevents the color gel from shrinking back,  But
note, using Opti Bond will make it more resisant to soaking off.
I'm sure Tammy will add to this if I missed anything lol

Ok so MY question is... How many coats of the Options colors are you supposed
to do?

I just received my Options yesterday and have done two clients : one on toes
and one on fingernails. I am finding that I have to do 3 coats to get rich
color.... What is the application technique? Thin layers or a ball floated on
like I'm building? I brushed on 3 thin layers. Also I did French tips on a
regular gel client with Midnite Dust and I notice that this gel draws up and
bevels a lot.... Any tricks to compensate for this?

Thanx in advance...

To simplify: they took the bonding agent thats in BNG and jarred it for better
adhesion in Opti-bond. So use your Surebond, Opti-bond scrubbed in nail since
your not building with this...you should still see the nail fibers when done,
make sure to cure that 2 min...then it you want you can use BNG to even out any
imperfections/ridges etc in the nail, cure 2 min. Apply your gel polish curing
between coats and then BNG as your gloss curing that 2 min. With your question
below are you seeing just the gel polish come off or everything???

Ok so my question now is, what's the difference between base and gloss and
optibond. I know Gina explained it in class, but god knows where I've put my
notes.  I thought they were interchangeable?

You need to use your Base & Gloss or Opti Bond then the Pink Blush.

Everyone I put it on has it come off in two to three days! I've

buffed all he shine from the nail, cleaned up the cuticles and tried

both the Sure Bond and the Affixit with no luck.

 Anyone else having these problems?
