During one of those fabulous "condo" training days at Premiere many years
ago, Tanis, Vicki, Jenny, Ellen and I spent a whole day playing with
product. At that time, I learned several tricks that have served me well:

Never worry about cleaning all the gel out of your gel brushes.leave a
little in there to keep the bristles soft and supple and "primed" so to
speak.

Be sure to always store them out of direct light..even light bulbs can have
UV spectrum rays that will cause the gel to cure in your bristles.
Especially those newer "true light" bulbs.

If you need to clean your brushes, alcohol or acetone either will remove
uncured gel. Both can be drying to natural hair bristles.so I use a drop of
a good quality cuticle oil massaged into the bristles to recondition them on
the rare occasion I clean them.

Keep several brushes aside for various uses: I use a flat, short natural
bristle gel brush for fills-the rounded shape of the edge of the bristles
fits right up to most cuticles. I use a #6 round pointed taklon brush for
the whites. I have a flat square nylon-very short white bristles-that I use
to float on thin layers of sparkles/glitters. And a square, natural bristle
brush I use just for colors-the tips of the bristles are pretty
flexible.sort of like a polish brush, really, now that I think of it.and it
lets me get very close to the sidewalls without touching. I try to never
cross use them.some clients just are NOT amused by a single blue glitter in
the middle of their perfect pink and whites! Lol

Keep empty polish bottles (you can buy them at pretty much any supplier) to
pop the handles of your gel brushes in as you use them. I have 3 on my desk
at all times.

Hope this all helps! I learned from the best!
