Things happen for a reason, and Maureen, your post couldn't have come at a
better time.

Just this morning a client of mine asked if I could soak off her nails and
apply this type of gel that her friend, a chemist, has created.

I told her that I couldn't do this without the proper MSDS, and education on
the product. She then wanted to apply it herself. But it wasn't until I read
her your email that she changed her mind and won't touch this no-name gel.

Thanks Maureen, you are a lifesaver!

Okay you guys, I have stored this in my head for 25 years but I will let it
out now. I was sent to teach a class at a distributor that is no longer in
business. A client purchaseda gel system and at that time gels were just
sort of new. Not many people were just learning about gel nailz so not many
techs were doing them.

I am sure all of us have had a client that thought they could do a bang up
job on there own nailz and so a shampoo tech applyed a set of gels. Well ,
they were all over her skin so guess what.......lifting. Well this girl must
have carried a glue bottle in her pocket because all of these nails were
lifted and glued, lifted and glued until the glue wasn't drying so all 10
nailz were DARK green. This girl was the model for the class.

I removed all of the overlays, walked in the back to get antiseptic to spray
on her hands and when I came back into the showroom, the room smelled like
rotted canvas. The entire nailbed was raw and no more nail disintegrated.
DISGUSTING.

Just thought I would share that with ya'll

I've been down to the TT warehouse in CA. Although I can't say whether or
not they make the monomer there, I doubt they ship out the day it's made. It
was lik going shopping in a regular small store: tons of stuff on shelves.

I use Tammy Taylor...I had 3 clients come in with green nails! I was ready
to scream! I used a different monomer Xtra-Adhesion. I have been using
the A+ no problems. Called TT ask if any one else had problems? He said
no, but if the monomor sits in a trailer while it is being shipped, the heat
can cause problems. If you order from them, it is shipped the same day it
is made. Just wondering if any one else has had these problems???

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone else have the days when one client after another

in cycles everythings good for a few months then all heck breaks loose?
So I wonder is there different acrylics for different clients how many
should I try to use or is there one miracle I havnt found?Does anyone
else have this problem? Some days I could really go on a permanent
vacation.Thanks.
