Most people will ask if a photo can be used, some are clueless that they need to.. some really don't give a rats hairy butt if they need to or not.. So with that said.. a photo of the interior of your shop is one thing (now who might want to use that without permission??) but a pic of your nail art work.. yes I recommend it to prevent others from passing it off as their own - even if it is a simple "assumption by the viewer type of thing Picasa 3: Free download from Google It's a real nice program IMHO.. just take the time to LOOK at the screen? there is a lot it can do so there is LOTS of icons and choices.. if there is? tutorial or it offers to show tips on start up, do that, and or just wander through the help screen to see the capabilities and use the help to learn the things you need to right away. Watermarking can be done with many other image editing programs also.. do a search for watermark shareware at www.cnet.com in the software area. If you have some version of photoshop, paint shop pro.. or maybe installed the software that came with your camera, many of them will have the capabilities also, some like Paint, will do this also, if you really get stuck..? uncheck (DRAW OPAQUE) then put your text, change to a light grey or another very light color. I like the picasa program better because when you use the "export" tool, you can watermark and resize all in one step AND it automatically saves the revised images to a different folder so you dont lose your originals Deb At 03:36 PM 9/28/2009, you wrote: Hi Everyone.... I know with all this public displays of our work...I was wondering if anyone watermarks(i think thats the term) their pics? How do I it? Just asking cuz I just found a pic of my work being used on a profile page and I honestly don't mind as long as I am asked and given credit for...but in this case I wasn't. So when I saw my work I was kinda shocked... I guess I shouldn't be cuz it is a public site. At least I would of asked if i liked someones work and wanted to use it and give credit to that person. I guess I would of expected the same. Oh well lesson learned. What are others feelings on this? Thanks a bunch, Dawn Regards, Debbie? ^v^? ^o^? //\o/\\ ^o^? ^v^?
