The downtown/midtown Sacramento restaurant scene has pretty much exploded in the last year; there are tons of places around the Convention Center to eat & drink now, many within walking distance. Check out places along L St at 18th, J St between 15th & 28th St., R Street has some new places as well. There's also Mikuni & PF Chang's 2 blocks away at 15ht, and right down the block on K St is Mason's and a few other newcomer restaurants. In Sacramento, lettered streets run north-south, numbered ones run east-west on a grid, so the Convention Center is pretty much 1300 J St. (on J St at 13th St)
