I have to disagree with you on this one Lynnette.....I think NSI's S/o gels are very rubbery. Axxium is not rubbery at all..so far.

If you want an array of color but still use TT, get the TEN drops. They are gorgeous and you can make any color you want. I have the Nailife on now and they are holding strong. As for the "rubbery" feel- the only one so far that does NOT have that is NSI's soak off. Again, muchas gracias. for the info! I'm really a fan of traditional gels and finding a s/o took some time. Every one I tried kept chipping/peeling at the free edge. Till Tammy Taylor introduced her gels. That stuff is the freakin bomb. If I can keep it on MY nails for 2 weeks at a time then it gets a major pass! Problem is, TT gel isn't out in a full line of polish colors yet. Despite my attempt to email, call, and generally whine them into existence. I haven't broken down an invested in gel polishes from anyone else yet-- I'm crossing my fingers that TT is going to come through for me soon. I can say that yes, a good gel mani will last 2 to 3 weeks! No problems. I still find it faster and easier to just file it off. It files off very easily with a file. I also found that it's best to remove the gel completely between manicures even if they want the same color. These gels are rubbery and when they get thicker they don't make a stronger enhancement, they just peel easier. Gel polishes are definitely NOT designed to extend a nail or add strength! As for pricing, I have been working hard to get my entire pricing structure into a coherent pattern based on time required for the service and an hourly average. So right now a manicure is $25-- the same as a basic ac fill; and a gel manicure is $30-- same as a basic gel fill. LMK about those Nailite gel polishes! Two weeks ago I was visiting my daughter in Chicago. She has this tendency to run me all over the city to see everything. Just about every block had at least FOUR chop shops. Some had six! BUT, the thing that fascinated me was that every single one had a sign that advertised " NO CHIP MANICURES." I tried to keep looking, but my daughter wanted to keep moving. But I talked to her about it and she said that it really works! Her roommates sister had it done and it lasted for three weeks. I told her it MUST be soak off gel. Jaclynne was not sure, but I was almost positive about it. So on Saturday I bounced around to the Vietnamese supply stores there. (only ONE was open on Saturday, BTW) I talked to the one guy and he was very helpful. He said it is Axxium. OKAY!!! Yes!! It was soak off gel, as I suspected! Well, I was not about to pay $70 for three OPI colors! No way Jose!! I am not going to advertise this as soak off gels. I am going to use the buzz words--NO CHIP MANICURES. It is all in the advertising. I am sure that NCM will bring more attention than SOG. On Monday, I ordered quite a few colors from Nailite. They have GORGEOUS colors. For some reason, my browser would not show me more than six colors, but Lisa sent 5 samples of other colors and OMG, they are beautiful! I also want to order the color drops from TEN and then have an array of colors to choose from. I also LOVE NSI's soak off gel. The thing is, I want to save money and not raise my prices again. Now, for those of you who do the soak off gel-- *how much more are you adding on? *do you charge for soaking off?* *do you have the client soak off at home? *does the product REALLY stay on for two or more weeks? *are any of you using this over acrylic? (I tried it on a client with P&W and it peeled) *My manicures are $21. I will do this for $5 more??? sound okay? BUT, NO full arm massage and all that extra niceties! I look forward to your replies. buenos dias, Lynnette -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NailTech" group.
