Shannon, I have to disagree with the lanolin and petroleum causing lifting. I could see if any oils were on the nails from the massage, but I highly doubt that using creams with those ingredients will make the nails lift. More like a marketing ploy to get the companies to get you to retail their creams. How many of us actually have ALL our enhancement clients using the creams we sell? My clients use whatever they pick up at Wal Mart. Nothing I can do or say makes them want mine. Also, I also clean my brush with the NAS or alcohol between colors. I do not have any lifting on my clients or my own nails with the axxium. It sounds like your prep is fine. I use a carbide bit and clean off with good old Wal Mart brand 70% alcohol. No lifting. You just have to ride out the bumps and bruises. Buenos dias, Lynnette Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile

I am cleaning my brush with NAS 99 after the white then after the clear then after the pink and I am thinking maybe I am soaking it too much? I read in my OPI axxium lifting issues that lanolin products and petrolium based products will cause lifting which is why I asked about the paraffin dip. I am getting lifting around the cuticle. I am using Bondex 2 and making sure it is not too thick back there and not touching the cuticle. I use a 180 grit file to go around the cuticle area and the sidewalls then a flex 180 to go over the entire nail. Clean off with a brush the use the nas 99 to wipe the nail clean. I also use the bond aid.:( I guess I will just have to keep practicing. The hard part was I was so excited with these nails because they came out so good (hardly any finish filing because there were not that many divets) and I was so proud of them and thought MAYBE I could start on real clients instead of just practicing to perfect my skill. I also take WAY too long (nealry 2.5 hours) and it should be 1.5 hours for sculpted pink and whites. BUT I am a newbie at this so I will keep going and hopefully figure this out! Thanks guys!
