Well, I WAS a CEU educator in Indiana for 10 years untill they cancelled about
4 years ago.  We were required 16 hours every 4 years half of which were OSHA,
Sanitation, State rules and half technical ( manicuring, hair styling, skin
care etc.)   As with anything else, theory is boring but, alot of points are
necessary.  Some people will absorb the info and use it and others will only
put in their time and complain that they have to be at the class at all.

I can't wait to hear why you asked.

Pennsylvania does not require CEU.
After this subject cropped up on this list years ago, I am not sure that
mandatory classes for a state is a good thing. Seems that some of the techs
found most CEU classes were not worth it. Not to mention time, travel and
expenses.
Cannot wait to see what you are headed toward!

Hey folks! Which states require CE hours to renew your license? How many hours
per when? Do you have to learn something specific- what counts? I know I can
find the hard numbers on the beautytech site, but I want to hear the real life
version complete with opinions and everything!  I'll tell ya why I'm askin'
later... LOL....
