How does that work if you bound by a contract? I know you can pay an
early cancellation fee but that is usually pretty expensive too. I
just want the phone i want which is a blackberry or palm without the
data plan and so far verizon wont budge on that and it would cost me
more to go elsewhere. Because i have 5 people on my phone and 2 just
signed new contracts that means if i left verizon i would basically
have to pay to open up a new account for myself as a primary which is
almost always at least $60 a month. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

All of you who have components that you don’t want because your
carrier ‘made’ you get them…..go back and talk to them. I have
negotiated with att to get only what I want. The market is fierce
right now and they have been so accommodating. I got about 50 bucks
taken off my home phone/dsl/cell phone bundle and 28 bucks off my
salon land line. They were willing to reduce my services to give me
what I want and would actually use in order to keep me as a customer.
