I think on the BT website there is a response to this question in the form of an article. It was written by a chemist who does R&D for OPI. I'm sure that I read it there once.
Anyway, gel topcoat and nail polish don't go together well at all. I've experienced everything from cracking to peeling and bubbling. Tried it years ago. Not worth it. Just wondering if you use nailpolish, why not just put a gel topcoat over it and then it shouldn't chip, right? Then it would definitely soak off, just file the clear topcoat off. It would be a lot cheaper than to buy all the gel polish and you'd have a lot more colors.
