36 watt light will cure the product. I have a bottle here and am
reading the ingredients. It's SOG and Nitrocellulose. You'll be
fine. Peel back the label and you'll see "Aliphatic Urethane
Methacrylate Oligomer" which is the same resin I use in my Eco
formula just listed under a different name for our EU documents
(there are only two choices to use Aliphatic or Aromatic" The first
is better than the second that is why we are both using it. You'll
also see "Nitrocellulose" further down which is the main ingredient
in polish.
You'll be fine curing it in a 36 watt. Don't beat yourselves up
over this hold up. I've been holding back hoping a CND person would
tell you it's ok. But since it's not coming and you're all getting
so frustrated, I'm going there.

Katherine,
I have gone over this light issue a few times on this list. If
you can use a Brisa lamp which has Phillips 9 watt uv bulbs to cure
the Shellac……..You can use ANY Tunnel Light with four 9Watt UV
bulbs…. 9watts is 9 watts all day long. The 4 bulbs spaced out make
more even curing across the whole hand. They want you to purchase th
eir new light because that’s where they are making the money. To Qua
lify this???? My husband is 3rd generation in the lighting industry
and designed some of the energy saving lights when they were first
coming out years ago. His father designed lighting for the movie ind
ustry and the first “Carousel” lighting for slides, for Kodak.
He knows his stuff.
If I were working for one of the companies I would publicly tell
you to buy my light because that’s what they would be paying me to d
o. The CND rep was unprofessional in her actions. As said in a later
post you were using a Brisa lamp which they tell you is perfectly f
ine for the product. As for me? My shellac is wearing just fine afte
r being cured in a no name tunnel with 4 new Phillips 9watt bulbs. E
ducate yourself and don’t believe you have to buy everything a compa
ny wants to sell you. Times are hard and they are trying to make a b
uck too.

Yes! And on top of this, one of my clients was at her hairdressers
bragging about the Shellac and a CND educator was in the salon at
the time. The CND rep started going off on how I should not be doing
Shellac yet because I'm not using the right lamp. She knows that I'm
not using the right lamp because hay have not shipped yet. WTF!
Their own reps are criticizing me for using the product AND to a
highly satisfied client! Sorry, I have little patience for stupid.
If CND did not want their product used without the lamp why did they
sell it without the lamp? I am very happy with the product and I am
making more money because I am using it, yet, I do not have the lamp
that I ordered in April and one of their reps told my client that I
wasn't doing it right! Grrrrr

Ahem. I am clearly on rants tonight... but really? Holly, trust me,
I totally appreciate your job as an EA... I used to be an educator

just HAS to be said...
To Creative Nail Design: Too much demand for your product?
Unimaginable? I thought more of you as a company than this. Shellac
is fantastic! You formulated it, you applied for a patent, you
worked the whole product out from concept to launch. Do you really
mean to tell me when you started hyping your product with every
resource in your arsenal 6 weeks before the launch date that YOU
chose, you REALLY thought that you had enough product in production
(never mind on TIME) to meet the demand YOU were creating? I may
only be a second year Marketing student, but I am pretty sure I
learned in Business 101 that all you do by making claims you don't
deliver on is MAKE YOUR CUSTOMER MAD. I counted on you to do as you
PROMISED to me... have the product fully launched on May 1st. You
have been good to me in the past, so I PROMISED this to my clients.
When you didn't deliver, I looked like a jerk. And I don't take
kindly to looking like a jerk. So, I ask again...
What demand did you think you were creating? You are a multimillion
dollar company with a great reputation... did you HONESTLY think you
had this launch under control?! If not... if this is beyone even
your wildest dreams... at least say so. A "We had estimated initial
sales at 20,000 bottles so we made 30,000. We are at 50,000 and
counting! Thank you for your support, and we are kicking it into
overdrive to get these filled. Thanks for your patience!" would be
in order if that was the case. This whole launch has just been
handled incredibly poorly, and I expect so much more from you, CND.
People preordered product they still have not received. And the lamp
delay? Don't even get me started on that. You can do so much better
than this, Creative, and I hope you heal my broken heart by learning
from this debacle. I love you, but I need to be treated better than
this...
Thanks, nail peeps... that one has been simmering for awhile.... :)

I am having a hard time getting additional product for the CND
shellac, is anyone else experiencing this ? I ordered my lamp the
first of may and still haven't seen it. Tried to order 3 more bottles
of top base and tutti fruiti. My ordered was canceled because they
were out of stock I am ordering from Industry source.
