I am wondering why half of my nail tech mail gets delivered to my spam box....

Hey Pam, If the bulbs are listed as "4 watt" that lamp wouldn't work with any of the gels in the entire Star Nail Company. 6 watt bulbs are pushing it these days. They're mostly ok for clear. But anything with a pigment in it (white, color) definitely needs a 9watt bulb to cure. It doesn't matter if there are several bulbs. They still will emit only 4 watts just with better coverage. The watts don't add up with increased number of bulbs despite some of us companies calling a "36 watt lamp" 36. It's actual 4 x 9watt. There maybe some companies out there that still only need a 4 watt bulb. But I'd be shocked. That low emit is more like drying topcoat. Low UV bulbs do appear to cure btw, but microscopically, the gel has uncured bits and this causes allergic reactions over time. Kind Regards, Elaine T.
