Angela, I use a leather recliner. I used to use a facial bed. It can become
uncomfortable for some people with back issues.

When shopping for a recliner I sat in my chair and measured from the floor to
2" above my knees. Then I took my 6'4" hubby with me shopping with the tape
measure. Moved him up, down, legs bent, legs straight out. The chair I chose
actually extends to almost completely flat, this works great for my reflexology
sessions.

I had my husband make me a platform for my pedicure chair to sit on to make it
taller. It helps me to sit up straighter but my chair is a swivel rocker and
will tilt over when the client is getting out of the chair. I might have him
secure it to the platform somehow. He put ceramic tile on the platform so it
matches my floor. Looks nice but I don't know how to attach to the tile. I use
a foot rest that has three legs and you can adjust the height. Like a tripod. I
should of made the platform larger so the client would stand up on the platform
and then have to take a step down.

I have been thinking about the waterless pedicure and getting a facial chair
instead. Does anyone use a facial chair?

Subject: NailTech:: Pedicure Set-up ideas

Ok so I'm trying to figure out a new setup for pedicures in our spa.
Right now the set up kills my back.  I'm thinking either the Footsie
Bath or Belava.  Any ideas on pedi stools, foot rest, chairs etc for a
comfortable setting for both my client and my back? Any and all
suggestions please!  Thanks!
