Doug: SOG are made to be soak-off, by making them easy to absorb solvents so they can be quickly removed. This also makes them likely to absorb other things, including stains, and water. As they absorb water, they tend to swell and curl. All the problems you're seeing with SOG is because they are designed to be easily attacked by solvents and water is a solvent. In other words, everything that made UV gels enhancements strong, durable and color stable, has been removed to make them "soakable". Oil will absorb, but it's not going to make a soakable gel have the same quality as a traditional UV gel. Simmy: Thanks for your input Doug. I have one more question then.
