I am about to order more Gelish because it has worked FANTASTIC on 1
of my most difficult nail clients. Her nails routinely curled away
from the overlay of acrylic and then from the overlay of the powder/
glue system. So far it's been 2 weeks on her with no curling, no
chipping, and no lifting!!!

The 3 colors I bought were:
1) Simple Sheer- looks like an American Manicure base (almost clear w/
pink hue)
2) High Bridge- cool tone pink with big and little pieces of glitter
in it (layer this 1st with simple sheer over it for a little more
toned down effect)
3) Red Roses- true red, not too blue/not too orange (like OPI Thrill
of Brazil)

I found that if someone had chipping with Shellac or Gelish, I skipped
the Bond Aid prep I was using and immediately after soaking off the
product I would file to shape the free edge, then lightly buff, use e-
file to remove cuticle off the plate, brush off dust, then apply the
Gelish or Shellac. Immediately following all steps to cure, I'd wipe
with alcohol and then do a salt glow scrub and a paraffin dip. No ill
effects so far and I'm not even using the required 36 watt lamp (still
debating on getting an LED lamp and all my online sources for 36 watt
lamps are sold out)!

I've also done a Gelish fill in on myself and it made the nail a
little thicker, but it worked perfectly (very time saving if you are
in a hurry). I've experimented on myself with layering Gelish over
Shellac and it bonds together well. When I soak off Gelish and Shellac
I never have filed over the surface, but I will try that to see if it
makes a big difference. It still soaks off within 10-15 min. no
problem with the acetone soaked cotton and foil wrap method.

I'll use both Gelish and Shellac, but since Shellac is limited in
colors and in distribution, it's great that Gelish doesn't have any of
those problems. I'm not interested in pots of this hybrid uv polish
simply because the rims get sticky and I need a seperate brush to use
them. For me, I really like the ease of it being in a polish bottle.

I did try to buy some of Jessica cosmetics "Geleration", but they
required you buy a kit for your first purchase ($$) and they would not
sell open stock at all, EVER, unless yor 1st order was the kit.

After listening to the sales rep tell me repeatedly that their product
was the best and how fantastic it was, I had to admit that I was
becoming frustrated. When I explained that I was testing out several
brands of uv hybrid polish and didn't want to spend all that money on
a kit, the sales rep couldn't figure out why I'd want to do that when
I could just buy Jessica's line, since it was the best.

Finally I had to break it down for her....I've got a salon to run with
other orders of products to place, such as the order of acrylic and
sanitation products I'd just placed the day before. I had to explain
that I have a budget to follow and it didn't include spending almost
$200 on a system I had never even seen or tested before. Again, she
explained to me that Jessica's was the best and she knew I'd love it
once I bought it!

To which I replied that I guess I'd never know how great their product
was because I wasn't going to buy it unless I could order open stock.
I'm sure they have their reasons (?), but as a consumer you'd think
that companies wouldn't make it so difficult for me to spend my money
with them. So Jessica's loss will be Gelish's gain. And this week I
finally was able to get the Shellac color "Tutti Fruiti" at our local
distributor!
