For all you handy dandy techs OR with a Handy Man in the house.... If you go to Home Depot, you can get some really pretty piping. Get a pipe long enough to hold half your sticks side by side. Take a saw and cut down the middle of the pipe making two halves. Now they are flat on the underside and can stand. Take a drill with a bit the same size as your stick and drill holes. You can even mount the pipe to the wall using curtain rod holders (the kind that stick out and the rod just rests on it.
There is some cool paint out there. I used to love "stone craft spray". Be sure to redrill out your holes after you spray so your holes aren't smaller. You can do this with PVC pipe or even metal pipe. The goal with having these sticks, is to replace the bottles in the waiting area. Traditional polish worked to show them what color is in the bottle. Now you can display these sticks in the waiting area. They can pick it up and place it over their nail to see how the color looks with their skin tone. Use a perm marker to write the name of the color on the handle. You may want to protect that with some clear polish or clear gel so it doesn't rub off. OR just number them. That might be easier. I've seen very artsy and craftsy people do the sticks in a pot with the floral foam stuff. You can decorate around the sticks. Just don't make it hard to see them. A piece of wood would work just as well as the pipe idea too. You can spray paint it and then paint very nicely, "feel free to pick up a swatch and hold it to your skin to help you choose your color"... something like that. SEND me pictures of your magnificent creations!!! I'll use them with my seminar and international educator trainings!!! Kind Regards, Elaine T.
