For general stains on clothes I generously cover stain with oxyclean then spray
with shout to make a paste.

Subject: Re: NailTech:: the way to remove PURPLE POLISH on your so awesome
shirt!!!!!!

Hi Diana!
This just happened last month to my white capri's... a bottle of red polish
dropped out of my hand and landed by my feet on my porcelian tile floor...it
bounced and then broke and splattered right up my legs! (and on my shoes)
wasn't
too worried about the floor..acetone usually gets that off...and it did...most
of it. My shoes were vinyl /leather flip-flops..but a good pair and I had just
gotten them a month earlier...got most of that out also...but my pants...washed
them several times...stain cycle...did you know front loaders don't have a soak
cycle? mine doesn't anyway...I bought some powdered oxy clean...made into a
thick paste (I mix it with warm water) ...I cover the spots/stain and let
soak...for a day..then wash again and use stain cycle. Still had a few smaller
spots left and 1 LARGE area....I bought in the grocery store...where the RIT
dye
is..a product called "stain devil" there is one specifically for nail polish
and
gum...squirt a little on..let soak for required time, I think 20ish minutes,
and
then have something handy where you can like scrape the fabric (gently) and it
breaks down the spill and it actually ALL came out! (I washed them one more
time
to get the stain chemicals out of them) I think I needed to use it twice...same
bottle still have some left just 2 applications.  Good luck...

oh... the oxyclean used as a paste will remove some color so I only do that on
whites or light colored clothes...or test it on a spot somewhere hidden....
good luck!
