Marsha,
Yes that is what I understand, gels that are not formulated to cure
in a LED lamp will either not cure properly or will cause extreme
heat spikes. I have no real proof to give you but I do know I heard
that maybe even from Elaine.
Absolutely you can fill eco. If you are using the same color, lightly
take it down, prep and reapply. So the application really should
never get very thick at all.
One extra coat of extremely thin base should not make a huge
difference in thickness. I have glitter on my tips now - base, color,
color with glitter, clear. I would have to say they are slightly
thicker than regular polish, but no where near as thick as even salon
acrylics might be. They really are quite thin still even with the
glitter. O can take a barrel picture if you like.

Interesting Kelley. So your nails don't get too thick by adding new
Eco over old? I'll be waiting to hear how long it takes to
completely remove the Eco, when that time comes. I think I read
Elaine says you can fill Eco.
I also think I read on this list, that the LED lamp cures gels which
are formulated to cure in a LED lamp. Which I think means other gels
either won't cure or will cure but with a huge heat spike.

Elaine,
I use different gels and the same uv lamp ( eco lamp) for them I do
one hand at a time, and pull out the cnd lamp for when I polish or use
shellac because of the fan in it.
I use gelousy one step( 4 ms), star nail thick clear ( 10 yrs ), eco
soak off gel( 4 ms), shellac(3ms), and am thinking of trying TEN.
before I purchased the eco line I used 2 9 watt lamps one for each
hand no timer just leave it on and clients left their hand in till I
was ready for it. So I had never used a timer before this summer. I
have noticed like Angie that my clients will pull their hand out when
the light goes off when before they never did I have found myself
telling them " you can just leave that in there please."
I guess the benefit of a led lamp for me would be not purchasing bulbs
all the time, but I would still have to use my cnd lamp for the
shellac would I not?
dont know I may just be rambling on here.
and for the record, I put on my eco and 2weeks later, lightly file new
color, and 2 weeks later lightly file and a new color. so I now have 3
layers of eco on my finger nails and they still are in wonderful
shape! ( this stuff rocks! I just want to change my polish all the
time now that I can wear it .)
