I use Shellac as well as Eco and Gelish on acrylic all the time. I don't see a lot of difference between the 3. I don't waste base coat, nor do I buff the acrylic. I just finish file like normal, skip buffing the surface to smooth it and go straight to color coats and top. Works and wears beautifully with all 3.
