As more solvent is used, the formula becomes off balance and the thicker ingredients that settle to the bottom of the Shellac bottle are left. Overtime, this make Shellac seem thicker which makes it difficult to apply Shellac in thin layers and can lead to under curing and wrinkling. SHAKE….. SHAKE….. I didn't know any of it got thick. Maybe the polish part in the Shellac is what is thickening up. I haven't had a problem with Gelish yet.
