Actually you do in Nova Scotia where I am from and licensing of the beauty industry is not new there. You also require provincial licenses in Manitoba where I live right now and have for a while. Saskatchewan will be doing it soon as well.
Unfortunately the other provinces have yet to catch on and I think BC actually took a step backwards and got rid of their papers, didn't they?
