Elaine, where can we get empty pots?
Michelle, I have been conspicuously absent, I am so sorry about that,
but I did see this and wanted to jump right in. I am discussing this
with Elaine right now and hope to have them online in the Tools
section later tonight. The cost will be .75cents each.

I totally understand your frustrations Lynnette. Your problems are
my problems. Meaning, these are the reasons that Eco hasn't had a
bottle option yet. I'm SOOOOOO Close to a solvent free formula. I
thought I "had" it Friday. I wasn't 100% satisfied with
adhesion. I do have the color stable without solvents in a great
consistency without anything that will evaporate. I'm so close.
But trust me, it's one thing to thin down Polish. It doesn't have
a high incident of allergic reactions. Playing chemist with a Gel
based formula can get scary. And it won't happen over
night. You'll suddenly see that ONE client come in with itchy red
cuticles and wonder what the heck is going on.
Warming any evaporating chemical only speeds up the evaporating
process. So what seems to help loosen up the formula, inevitable
thickens it. I don't know what the solution is. That will have to
come from Creative and Harmony. But you definitely want the right
chemical that is being used in their products. And I would wager
it isn't all that easy to create the thinner.
Here's a goofy solution you all are not going to love....dump your
bottles in pots. It can only get "so" thick and then it will stay
at that consistency. It won't go completely hard unless you expose
it to the uv rays. At least you'll be able to get your money's
worth out of it. I feel your pain Lynnette. Trying "knowing" all
of these problems are going to happen before the masses do. Then
trying to explain to my boss (Tony Cuccio) why I'm not jumping on
the bandwagon and releasing a bottle. It's hard for him to believe
me (months ago) when I started making predictions. Thank god
complaints finally rolled in and I could go..."SEEEEEE. I told you
this would happen.". Now he leaves me alone to do my thing with my chemist.
I'm sorry this is so frustrating. It will all balance itself out
in the near future. Mark my words.
Kind Regards,

Well I have to chime in here because it is quite frustrating to put
out good $$$$$, only to have the bottles thicken.
Why would a company develop a product they know will get thick and
not develop a thinner? I asked this before. At least OPI always had
their thinner next to their polish! lol
I only have a few Shellac, but it does happen with Gelish.
I was sent info from someone suggesting I do what she does and use
polish thinner. It works.
Warming works also. You just have to not leave it on the warmers
too long. The problem I have is that even with the bottles
"burped," they leak like crazy. I am losing product.
The product goes on beautiful when warm.
I really do not think that it compromises the product. Anyone
remember the opi warmers? No one ever said that they compromised the product.
I am not a chemist, but someone needs to come up with a better
solution to thinning these products than "shaking the crap" out of
them and heating IF it hurts the product.
Until then, we have to resort to different measures....

I agree with Elaine! I don't know what CND's recommendations are,
but I agree with Elaine that understanding the chemicals, I
wouldn't warm the bottles either!
