Actually, Expedia only dropped American Airlines. Orbitz dropped American a few weeks ago. Basically, American Airlines has created its own distribution channel called Direct Connect, and wants Expedia, Orbitz and other travel agencies to get flight information directly from that. This only affects folks dead set on flying American.
