It is my understanding that Eco can be used in place of traditional gel for building purposes, which may be why you have to apply it thicker. I use the Eco French manicure kit and it is great because I can use it to offset furrows in nails or other dings. If you are working in really thin coats, just apply a third coat of colour. That extra little layer won't hurt. I do it quite a bit with several of the gel polish lines.

This is my first time posting in this group, however I read almost every post & have utilized a lot of useful information, so thank you to everyone! I am now seeking assistance myself - I have been a shellac user since it came out last June. I want to explore other options though just for the variety, so I requested some samples of the Eco soak off gel. I LOVE the idea of it being in pots so product is not wasted & the application process seems simple. However I don't seem to be getting the correct coverage? I apply the base coat, cure for 10 seconds, then 2 thin coats of color, cure for 3 minutes each layer. My color seems sheer though and I can't seem to get a good full coverage of opaque color unless I apply it thicker. What could I be doing wrong? Thanks for any tips or help you can provide!
