Lol, I am enjoying this thread.  I don't post often so here goes.
First of all I agree with Rhonda...the younger ones who don't
necessarily care about structure etc, and just want their nails NOW
because so and so has them too, are perfect for the newbies.
Experience has to start somewhere, so its usually practice practice
practice that gets us there.

Secondly, I too am a "secondtimearounder" and love it.  I was 42 when
I went back to school for training and I haven't looked back.  I think
the "older" clients ie my age and up appreciate having someone they
may something in common with.  I've been dealing with the hot flashes
for about a year now, and its almost exciting for them when it happens
to me...not that they want to see me suffer, but its a common bond we
have - as silly as it sounds.

I too love having some life history behind me, but I never forget how
it was when I first started and needed those clients and needed the
practice.  I am grateful for each and every one of my clients, even
some of the PIA ones because I do learn about myself from them and my
reactions to them.

God I love my job.
