You are not combining them technically, it's like polishing on top of a finished gel nail.
ALSO, many of us have been very successful mixing ManiQ and polish to make custom SOG polishes. Our salon has been doing it for two years now. The only issues we have is some colors fade. Sometimes we have to think outside of the box and do what we are told not to do. That is how new techniques and services happen. I can remember people poo pooing glitter toes years ago, now everyone is doing them :o) R On Fri, Mar 25, 2011 at 11:15 AM, charlotte crowley <[email protected] > wrote: > Combining polish and gel has always resulted in "service breakdown" for me. > The two just dont mix. > > ------------------------------ > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: NailTech:: OPI Shatter and using over gel polish > Date: Wed, 23 Mar 2011 23:38:29 -0400 > From: [email protected] > > > I'd probably try a regular gel top coat rather then a shellac or gelish top > coat it may work better, that's what I use when I use polish and designs > with gems or rhinestones. > > *Anna*[image: :-*] > *Creations by Anna Z-James* > www.annazjames.com > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Blinginabox <[email protected]> > To: NailTech <[email protected]> > Sent: Wed, Mar 23, 2011 8:19 pm > Subject: NailTech:: OPI Shatter and using over gel polish > > I did the gel polish with Gelish using the bashful all on top and then > > my client wanted to do Shatter on ends for french look, so I wiped and > > took the shine off then proceeded with her picking out a color polish > > (regular ) it was actually a Nicole brand in silver chrome.
