Hi you all! With only 2 months remaining until the Sunday, June 26th "Nail Tech Networking Event of the Smokies", we wanted to send you a reminder to register (in case you hadn't already done so) and also bring you up to date on some of the Event happenings. For those of you who cannot join us this year, we'll miss you and hope to see you at the 2012 Event!
GOODIE BAGS: On March 31st we met our goal of 100 paid guests who will receive a large goodie bag full of nail products. Thanks to the generosity of Jim and Lezlie McConnell at Light Elegance, who sponsored 250 of these cloth goodie bags with zippered top, everyone who didn't make it into the first 100 will still receive one (minus the nail goodies inside)! www.lightelegance.com DOOR PRIZES: Remember that each of you will still be eligible to win one of the fantastic door prizes and some of the booths will be handing out samples, too! Door prize and goodie bag item photos are on our Facebook page (along with ALL the info concerning the Event). http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nail-Tech-Networking-Event-of-the-Smokies/104319176265824 Door prize drawings will happen every hour, on the hour. This means you can safely schedule your restroom or restaurant break around those times! Several names will be drawn each hour and this year you'll be able to choose your prize from the table of prizes. Any winners who do not come forward to collect their prize by the end of the Event will result in forfeiture and a new winner's name will be drawn at that time. Unfortunately we cannot mail prizes, so you must be present to win. HOTEL: The River Terrace Resort is our new host hotel for this year and they wanted me to remind you that there is a cut-off date of May 26th to make your reduced rate reservations. Phone 800-251-2040 and mention the promo code "Nail Tech Networking Event" to get our discounted rate of $65 per night plus tax (normally $99 per night). There's 7 hotel buildings on their property, which is located downtown next to the Ripley's Aquarium. Visit our Facebook page for photos and descriptions of each unique building at the River Terrace Resort! www.riverterrace.com FOOD: This year there'll be a snack table set out all day (or until the food and water runs out), but there's also an on-site restaurant a few steps away from the Event, in addition to vending machines, too. Our new venue required we use their catering services and could not bring outside food onto the premises. So with the fees, gratuities, and taxes this added another 30% onto the total catering cost, which is not being sponsored by any company this year! In order to keep the price of the Event reasonable for each of you, we opted not to have a full lunch. We figured you were coming to the Event to see nails anyway, not to eat! REFERRAL VOUCHER: The referral voucher (you can print one off of our Facebook page) is for you to send to another nail tech who has NOT ever been to the Event. The new tech fills out that form with THEIR name and lists YOUR name as their referral source. When the new tech mails in that completed voucher along with their registration payment, YOU as the referral source get $10 CASH back when you sign in at the Event. They HAVE to mail in that form listing you as the referral source in order to get the credit...no exceptions. You can send the form to as many nail techs as you want, so the Event may end up paying YOU to attend! PRIVATE CLASSES: Also on our Facebook page is the list of private nail classes which will be offered the following day on Monday, June 27th. To register for the Event, contact me. To register for any of these private classes, contact each individual educator or nail company at their contact info provided. I cannot stress enough how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to take these in-depth classes, which you cannot get at any of the larger shows such as Orlando and Vegas. Do not take for granted these hands-on classes because this is the kind of education that enhances our skills and allows us to raise our prices with confidence! It's always a wild and crazy ride putting together the Event each year, with many behind-the-scene ups and downs. Nubar and Debbie Doerrlamm (Beautytech) have had to back out, but that opened up 2 spots and Odyssey Nail Systems is now sending Tammi Merritt to demo their fabulous products! This leaves 1 booth remaining open, so if there's a nail company you'd like to see demo at the 4th Annual "Nail Tech Networking Event of the Smokies" in the resort town of Gatlinburg, TN. please contact the nail company to request they send an educator. Nail companies take your requests very seriously and sometimes your requests have more influence than mine! Feedback is always welcome and thank you for considering the Event for all your educational needs. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
