I'm in the process of experimenting with several sog(s). Could you comment on some of your soak off times for the different brands you use - which do you find the easiest to soak off?

I just used the soak off gels from nailite (in pots) and ended up filing them off because they wouldn't budge. Thought I would also try the GIA in bottles if they are easier to soak off. I've tried Gelish, Shellac and Mani-Q.

Thanks for any help -- (sorry to the person I think I sent this to privately).

Nora, eco So Quick soaks off in 5 minutes when properly applied. If you use extra color layers it may take 7-8 minutes. We recommend the foil & cotton ball method with eco Removal Solution after the "seal" is broken. The Removal Solution has added ingredients that not only help reduce the drying effect of acetone, but we have found it actually speeds up the soak process. We also have this great new item: Accelerating Complex. The kit comes with 2 different additives. One is added to your acetone to add in the special ingredients that make up our Removal Solution. The other is an additive to alcohol to make a Wipe Solution (to cleanse and remove the dispersion layer). The Accelerating Complex additives mixed with your alcohol & acetone can then be used with any soak off UV Gel Polish.

One thing I have found, is that there are really 3 types of gels now. The traditional "hard" gel that needs to be filed off and is impervious to acetone. Soak off "soft gels" that will soak off, but the time is usually around 20+ minutes. Both of these are considered "enhancement" products. Then the latest is the UV Gel Polishes that soak off in 5-10 minutes depending on the brand, and would be considered an alternative to traditional nail polish for your natural nail clients.

I hope that helps!
