I was probably the one who suggested Time and Chaos. I still use it with my
iPhone but have added Chaos Host which syncs my iPhone with my computer
program automatically. (I suspect this would also work with the iPad, but
you'd probably also have to check the T&C website for that. Actually, I'm
hoping that this can work because I do hope to get an iPad for my
birthday....but I digress.)

The salon I am working at still uses, I'm embarrassed to admit, the old
paper appointment calendar and pencil (yikes). I usually promptly input
nail appointments onto my iPhone, which "syncs" automatically with the Chaos
Host service. Usually at some point in the evening, when I am home, I will
simply press the F12 key while in Time and Chaos, and the Chaos Host service
will sync new/edited appointments back and forth between my computer and my
iPhone. This sounds a whole lot more complicated than it really is.

It is very simple to make client notes/print out schedules/etc. from my
computer with T&C. I especially like the versatility of being able to
schedule appointments on my practially-instant-on iPhone which can easily
sync to my computer.

I am also seriously considering an on-line scheduling service but have to
figure out how to coordinate yet another calendar. I see a huge potential
for conflict with my personal one and the salon's old school method of
booking, I want to be comfortable that there won't be a major screw-up
coordinating these things!
