Bonnie, I have to agree with this. How many of us went to Sally's LONG before we ever went to school and tried to do our own nails? I am raising my hand here! God only knows how terrible the nails looked and the bloody cuticles even worse. I was telling Becky earlier that not one of my clients would go purchase the product from Sally's. Heck, I cannot even get them to go there for a bottle of acetone! I am the only salon in the area that does decent nails. I have seen the Shellac and other products from those places and the techs cannot even do them. If they can't, I cannot imagine the average Janie! So, I will continue to use my Gelish. I LOVE the product. Hey, OPI has been in my local drug store for longer than I have been doing nails and I never lost a client to that! Those people who do their own nails LOOK like they do their own nails. I had a client redo hers the other day. OMG, no base, no top and one coat. It looked awful. The one tech in town who tells everyone that drills hurt the nails had issues with Shellac. One of my clients' MIL goes to this other girl. I was asked by MY client what she could tell her to not make the Shellac "bubble." I told her that it does not bubble, but it wrinkles. And I paid LOTS of money to go to Chicago for a private Shellac Attack before it launched-- of course I also went to the show and got to see my daughter and some girlfriends, but who cares? I probably would have been able to figure it out on my own, but I learned a few things. These people rushed out and got it with NO idea what to do with it. And they expect me to give them pointers on how to make it work? I told my client that I would surely help this girl. For $100 an hour with a two hour minimum. That would not even pay for my plane ticket to Chicago. Well, I hear she is not doing the Shellac anymore!!! LOL... For $200 I would have helped her and she would have built her clientele. Bottom line... let them sell it at Sally's. I do not care. I may get some new clients who will not be able to figure out how to get it off..... ...... and THAT is another dilemma. Most will use Sally Hansen or Cutex remover. They will sit all day!! Heck, I will make money just on the removal!! Done ranting!!!! buenos noches, Lynnette
