I second that. I made more money behind my table than I did at a trade show or
teaching a class. What I did it for is the education. The first manufacturer
that I worked for gave me EXTENSIVE education that gave me a solid foundation
on gel products and how they work.

Another manufacturer that I worked for gave me complete education on their
products which gave me the ability to sell their products but not much info to
help me do better nails.

I did not do it for the money, I did it for the education. So, IMHO, I would
talk to the company who's product you like and give it a try. It's not for
everyone, try it and see if it's for you.

For me, it turned out that I did not like being an educator for a manufacturer.
I am happier being my own boss. I don't make a good employee and I'm not
interested in being an independent educator. That's a full time job in itself
and I already have a very busy salon business, no time for lining up out of
town classes and I no longer enjoy traveling like I used to.

Try it out, switch it up, go for it. You will not know if it's for you until
you try it.

Best of luck to you,
