Katherine gave you great advice! If you don't have glue at the free edge, you are not using enough glue. Also, make sure your fit is correct, if you are using a tip with too much c-curve, you will have large air bubbles. The tip should lay on the nail before you glue it on, you shouldn't have to press it down to "make" it fit. It should fit like a glove. Sometimes it helps to look down the barrel at the nail with the sizers above the nail.
Remember EF - Extra Flat F - Flat R - Round H - High The M's mean Medium curve, which most people are and C's mean Curved which are for people who's free edge really curve down.
