I've also used What they call "sponges" that I purchased from dental suppliers.
I used 2x2 cotton-filled, non-sterile gauze pads for about half ( or even less)
than what the beauty industry charges for a sleeve of 200.  I use these to
remove polish and to wipe finished gel nails with alcohol.

I've also cut Hands Down sheets into squares. I found their wipes were really
too big, a waste and therefore too expensive.  Works great as last thing to
wipe nails before application.

And I've cut plain, white Bravo paper towels into 2" squares. Also a great wipe
before application.

For gel polish soak off I prefer the professional wraps ( to set myself apart),
but have in a pinch used a small ball of cotton in foil.

Hope thus helps!

I use the ValuMax Extra-Safe gauze. Non-Woven Sponges. 2x2 4 ply. Item# 1872
from Pearson Dental. I also use their extra large dental bibs as table towels.

Friends, just wondering where everyone purchases their lint free wipes, because
cotton isn't cutting it anymore. With these gel polishes I am spending way too
much time fighting cotton fuzzies. Even with rolling them tight and using a
very firm grip, cotton will be the death I'd me!
