Re: NailTech:: Lint free-ness...

Becky....for me...the pricing is so fluid.  Depends on where you get stuff. I always tried to shop for bargains on non-perishables. And the dental suppliers...seems to me I remember it depended on the shipping policies for the best bottom line pricing.

I've also used What they call "sponges" that I purchased from dental suppliers. I used 2x2 cotton-filled, non-sterile gauze pads for about half ( or even less) than what the beauty industry charges for a sleeve of 200.  I use these to remove polish and to wipe finished gel nails with alcohol.

I've also cut Hands Down sheets into squares. I found their wipes were really too big, a waste and therefore too expensive.  Works great as last thing to wipe nails before application.

And I've cut plain, white Bravo paper towels into 2" squares. Also a great wipe before application.

For gel polish soak off I prefer the professional wraps ( to set myself apart), but have in a pinch used a small ball of cotton in foil.

Hope thus helps!

I use the ValuMax Extra-Safe gauze. Non-Woven Sponges. 2x2 4 ply. Item# 1872 from Pearson Dental. I also use their extra large dental bibs as table towels. You can order online.

Friends, just wondering where everyone purchases their lint free wipes, because cotton isn't cutting it anymore. With these gel polishes I am spending way too much time fighting cotton fuzzies. Even with rolling them tight and using a very firm grip, cotton will be the death I'd me!
