I've had several clients over the years with this situation and what happens is as the enhancement moves out in the direction of growth, the nail bed changes shape and it forces the rigid enhancement loose along both sides.
I moved them to traditional gel enhancements and I found it usually was forgiving enough to solve the problem. One client went from being forced to have fills every 10 days or deal with the lifting....to going as long as three weeks with no lifting issues at all (like when vacations interrupted her usual schedule.)
