My usual approach is to say something along the lines of "Well, both are nail
enhancement systems that have similar results--both will be applied to add a
bit of structure to your natural nail giving you the length and long-lasting
color that you want. I find that some people can wear one a little easier than
the other, and for some people it makes no difference. Generally speaking, the
gel seems to be  wee bit more flexible and forgiving, but the acrylic seems
stronger and harder to break. Let me just start you out with (my recommeded
product) and see how it goes. We can always change our approach if we need to."

I don't try to get too technical at first....as we work together over the
weeks, months, years, they'll surely get an education according to their
interest in the topic!

Subject: NailTech:: Which is better?

I get the question all the time from customers "Which is better? Acrylic or
gel? I know how I answer, but would like to know how you answer.  Another
favorite question is " Which is better for your nails?
