I never did have any luck cleaning my brushes in just monomer. I used a 
monomer/acetone mix at 1:1 ratio. Soak as long as needed and gently wipe on a 
lint free wipe keeping the bristles as straight as possible. Don't press 
straight down and wipe the brush aggressively back and forth. Lay the brush 
flat on the wipe, fold the wipe over the bristles and press while sliding the 
brush out. No so hard that you pull the bristles out, just firm pressure. Dry 
flat, away from nail dust and store in a container that will keep the brush 
dust free. My favorite brush is the Entity red sable retractable brush.
