Debbie, I pay the same for my room as a hairstylist....it is a prime location 
and I have just a sink in my room which for me works out just fine because I do 
waterless pedicures.  You would croak if you knew what I paid a month :/.  I 
figure if my rent is on average is what I make in one week during the month 
that works for me.  I get a 3% raise per year....I can go with it or move on.
