Sheila, you have accomplished so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And you still
have the Passion!!! With all the companies out there, I am sure one
will grab you in a sec.
In the mean time you can do things at home. Have you checked out the
schools? The probably won't pay you, but you could go and volunteer
and teach a class. Get your name out there.
You could also have private classes in your salon. We have one here
in Muncie, teaches nail art to other techs and even the public.
Do you have CEU's in your state? Another avenue. Ask your
Distributor if you can teach a class. Non product specific, but
teach what they carry. Good Luck Sheila. You have been successful
for the last 10 years, you will do this too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! diana

Hello all, For those who know me, and those who don't, I have been
a part of this wonderful network world that Deb created since
..hmmmm 1996??? There are many of you who have been here since the
beginning and I love that even tho some of us have never met, I
feel that you all have been such a great inspiration to me
through the years. My dream of opening my own salon was met in
Orlando with a zillion ideas, suggestions and fears, man that feels
like a million years ago! Deb, Diana, Athena, Patti, Amy, The
gracious doc that let me do his nails in anticipation of my first
big show nail competition and the many other amazing ladies that I
shared the condos with!! Wow was that really 2001?? Anyway, you
guys have helped me with inspiration, guidance and words of wisdom
and now Its time again. My spa just celebrated 10 years, as all of
you that are my Facebook friends know, and I am ready to do
something new. I watch all of the educators, todays and
yesterdays, through the years share their knowledge and experience
with me and other little sponges like myself, and I believe it is
time for me to do my part! I have gone back and forth on how I
should go about this new chapter. Where do you think I should
start. The idea that I have in my head is not to "promote" a
brand, but to teach and inspire on how to what we do. From
creating beautiful nails.. and get past those crazy, tricky ,
frustrating days when we all have wanted to throw in the brush
because we are so frustrated.. lol to teaching people the basic
business skills on how to get people in their chairs and keep em! I
want to share my passion and skills ... and watch people get their
"Aha" moment! I have pondered on it for years, however the time
has never been just right, and now I am recruiting the help of my
nail sisters that are currently educating with companies that you
love or are in the position of such as an education director or
coordinator that would guide me in the right direction or want to
give me the opportunity to work under and with you. Please feel
free to offer me an apprentice opportunity!!! I am ready to get my
foot in the door!!! I have a great resume full of great
achievements and success that I am ready to share.
